The Atomic Bombs!
Finally, the Japanese Imperial Army has surrendered and the war in the Pacific is over. Nearly 250,000 Japanese lost their lives due to the atomic bombs called "Fat Man" and "Little Boy". The specifics were told by Mr. Chisholm in class, but their power was unbelieveable. The size of a bowling ball, to cause a catastrophy like that is one for the record books.

Only the U\uranium core was bowling ball sized, the entire bombs were still really huge, much larger than most bombs due to all the mechanisms needed to set off a nuclear explosion.
ReplyDeleteTo think that they were warned about these attacks too. I'm sure if the Japanese had known what was coming to them, there wouldn't have been so many dead.
