Operation Cartwheel

Operation Cartwheel was an interesting event in the Pacific. I really got a kick out of the way the Americans got around the territory. They only went for their targets. There could have been a huge number of Japanese reinforcements on another island, but if there was not an airstrip, they were ignored. The U.S. had a mission, and did not let anything get in their way. Move to the Philippeans as fast as they possibly could.

  1. Allied forces were really smart and understood they shouldn't stop at every island along the way. They went for the true prize and did so in a successful way.
