Ok first of all, the Germans really have choice issues because of the major switch for power. Although the Nazis are ahead by A LOT Hindinburg still wins the vote. Appointing Hitler as his back-up though is probably the choice that started the war. If Hitler did not have power, 6 million+ lives would be spared at one cost...Germany would be Communist. Personaly i think communism isn't so bad. The Russians work well with it. If you break the law, then the Gulag it is. There is no rich/poor or lawyers for everyone to hate in court.
Yes, I agree. I don't see how Hindenburg won in the first place. He's so old and there are so many problems in the country that he is obviously failing to help with. To me, it would make more sense for the citizens to pick someone else, in hopes that this new person will fix the country. I also agree that communism isn't all that bad. Although Stalin did go a bit crazy with it...
ReplyDeleteA very convincing argument that you present. One must realize that although the leader Hindenburg was chosen over Adolf Hitler, power was still granted to him. Hitler received the position of German Chancellor. Once he realized that Hindenburg was weaking both in health and power, he began his campaign to gain total power to live his duty to control a totalitarian country, or police state.
