Berlin: the end of the war

The war is finally over and the Nazi powers have fallen!! This is just another example that when the U.S. is involved, you can NOT win. During the battle, the Soviets just destroyed Berlin and took over the city very quickly. Personally, i think the heads of the Nazis were pussies. Suicide was just a way out of losing. In other words, they are just a bunch of "Sore Losers" for not fighting the war until the very end.

2X Extra credit WW2 Blog

During the war, my grandfather was a Merchant Marine. His major objective was transportation in Sherman Tanks over to North Africa. He worked with the native merchants for supporting the war effort. These shipment of tanks was a key part in the battles in N. Africa before the Axis Powers were forced to flee back through Italy. It's supprising that we just learned about this in class just a few days ago and my own family was a part of it.

Winter

Yesterday in class, the irony of the worst winters in history were at the same time as the invasions into the Soviet Union. If Hitler would have checked everything during the invasion and calculated all of his advantages, he would have known about the temperatures during that time. But twice during both invasions? To me it sounds like the U.S.S.R even has the weather to prevent the takeover. Hitler needs to think more about his plans or hire someone to make them because he is not doing a very good job.
